I watched the Vice Presidential canidates fight on T.V. for face time and a chance to make themselves look smart the other day. I wanted to watch grown men have a smart debate, but the more I watched, and the more they talked, the more they seemed like boys dressed in suits arguing just to try and make the other one look stupid. Joe Biden was the worst of all, I thought. I couldn't believe the ugly faces I saw. I was appalled by the condescending expressions he made at his opponent, how he cut him off, laughed at him, rolled his eyes, and tried to poke fun. Biden may have tried to make himself out the bigger man, but in the end, all he did was made up my mind on who I would vote for and made himself out to be an overgrown child.
Honestly, I have no idea what either one of them said, but I'm not one bit impressed with how flippantly Joe Biden listened, how arrogantly he answered, or how rudely he laughed. With his arrogant antics, he sealed the fate of my independent vote....my vote for anyone but him. Biden's condescension truly was inspiring. He inspired me to vote. He inspired me to write. So, I shan't leave him completely empty handed. To commemorate the occasion, I wrote Mr. Biden a poem.
Joey dressed up in his suit and his tie
He put on his wig and wrinkled his eyes
Looking so smart and impeccably neat,
with great big shoes on tiny feet,
He deepened his voice as much as he could
He stood as tall as a big man would.
Joey made himself out so grown, and so smart
a "man" with etiquette down to an art
But the man soon forgets to be so grown up
when the boy down the street he wants to show up
Boys will be men to make themselves proud
But men will be boys and look like a clown
