. "All good things come to and end" they say, and I suppose it must be true. All the good things I have known have, at some point, ceased or promised to do so some time in the near future. Days end. Life ends. Movies end. Relationships end. Everything ends. At some point or another, everything, whether good or bad, ends.
Such a dire and painfully obvious observation you say? Well, yes of course it is! I just always happen to think of it when something I've thoroughly enjoyed is over, and something I've enjoyed is over. This time, that something is my Christmas vacation.
It's the nature of vacations to end I suppose, but I do so hate that reality. This vacation felt like it could last forever. It felt like it was lasting forever. Then, in a flash I found myself here, in the very last hours of my Christmas vacation. I had a good time. For two weeks, I've rested my brain, my body, and schedule. I've even mostly avoided the internet world, but now the time has come to go back. It's time to get myself back to the crazy, busy, demanding old world. The worst part of vacations is that part where it ends.
My vacation is over, and it's time to go back. I hate that it can just go on like it has, but if vacations went on and on and never did stop, the vacation itself would cease to be fun. So, I'll leave it behind and go back the world, but as soon as I get another respite, I'll find it again and have another go round.
Goodbye my vacation...I did love you so.
